Loving This Body To Light

Earth and this human experience are the ultimate playground.

We come here for such a short time, especially in the context of our soul’s full journey; and yet this is the place where we get to play out all the lessons we need. Where we grow more in a few years than we sometimes do in lifetimes.

But let’s be honest: the playground isn’t always safe or fun.

There are skinned knees, difficult friendships, bossy teachers, and bullies. It should be the place where we laugh and run free, and sometimes it is, but it’s not always easy.

So I look at these meat suits we wear to house our souls and think about all the challenges we have with them.

Our bodies change constantly.

They ask us to slow down. To rest. To nourish. To love.

And it’s easy to feel frustrated or betrayed by that.

But what I’m realizing now is this:

When our bodies ask something of us, it’s our soul asking too.

These bodies aren’t just something we wear.

They’re not separate from who we are.

They are us. They are home.

I know I’m not alone in struggling with body image, wondering why my body doesn’t cooperate, why it doesn’t match what I think I want.

But that’s the difference between the mind and the soul.

And what’s helped me reconnect with my soul is finally seeing my body, all of her needs—as my needs.

As messages from my deeper self.

There is no me without this body.

When my nervous system lit up and screamed at me… my soul just wanted stillness and rest. It wanted me to know that I am enough in all forms, not just when I am doing things.

When my legs got big and heavy and held onto weight over the years… my soul was just trying to survive, to shoulder this impossible burden of carrying a world that was not ours to carry.

When I chased detox after detox trying to “fix” my body…my soul just wanted to be loved… without conditions.

There’s a pattern I’m seeing in the spiritual space:

It often feels easier to work in the energetic plane and bypass the body.

And while I believe in the power of energy work, I also know this:

We cannot anchor energetic healing unless we support the body.

We cannot hold more light unless the vessel is ready.

Your body and soul are not separate. Not in this life.

And healing only in the quantum is like upgrading your phone software while ignoring a cracked screen. You might have new downloads, but you can’t use them properly until you repair the foundation.

Our bodies hold everything:

Grief. Trauma. Joy. Memory. Earth.

They are our literal grounding cords.

If we want to evolve, to expand, to embody more light, we must also move through what we’ve stored.

We have to let the fascia unwind.

We have to open the lymphatic system.

We have to support the liver, the gut, the organs that have held it all.

Every time I work with the lymph, I see it again:

The body is the soul. The soul is the body.

The chakras. The meridians. The tissue. The flow. Every part matters.

And so I’ll keep loving this body to light.

Finally, honoring what it’s always known.

I am worthy.

I am on this medicine woman journey.

And I hope you’ll walk beside me.
