Finding Calm In The Chaos: Tools For The Eclipse Corridor

Energetically, this eclipse corridor has been rough. Patterns and ways of being that no longer serve are rising to the surface, asking to be seen, acknowledged, and released. It’s felt like being squeezed on all sides—and I know I’m not alone in swinging from creative surges to total overwhelm and exhaustion.

This time feels like one of massive expansion. But with expansion comes the need to meet all parts of ourselves—especially the uncomfortable ones. It’s like yo-yoing between feeling like a bright, airy powerhouse in your body… to wanting to crawl out of your own skin.

So what can we do when it feels like too much? What’s in your self-care toolbox—and are you leaning into plant medicine as part of that support?

For me, when I’m feeling completely overwhelmed in my body, the very first thing I reach for is a hot cup of tea. The warmth alone soothes my nervous system, offering a sense of grounded comfort. But tea does more than that—it hydrates us on a cellular level. We’re often told to drink more plain water to avoid dehydration, but plain water can actually flush out essential minerals and electrolytes. Tea, especially when infused with mineral-rich herbs and paired with raw honey, helps replenish those lost nutrients and supports true hydration.

One of my favorite small tea brands is Naked Herbs Tea Co. (currently on Etsy!). I love having a variety of blends on hand to intuitively choose from, depending on my mood or what my body needs in the moment.

Another tool I lean on often is sound. Listening to certain frequencies—especially 432 Hz and 528 Hz—can help reset and re-attune the body and mind. These tones are deeply calming and can help bring me back to center, even when everything feels off-kilter.

And of course, essential oils are a powerful part of my self-care ritual. When I have the time and space, I’ll draw a bath and add oils based on what I intuitively feel my body is asking for. The heat, the water, the aroma, and the stillness of that moment become a sacred space to reconnect with myself.

But let’s be real—sometimes we don’t have the time for a full bath. In those moments, I love using Serenity & Support, one of the blends I created for Celestial Roots Co. It combines the emotionally balancing properties of geranium and clary sage with the uplifting essence of orange, the aura-clearing depth of frankincense, and the calming, familiar notes of lavender. It’s a quick, effective way to soothe the nervous system and recenter—especially when I’m on the go or in the middle of chaos.

This period of expansion asks a lot of us. It’s beautiful, yes—but it’s also messy and uncomfortable. That’s why it’s so important to have supportive tools you can reach for when the overwhelm hits.

So tell me… what’s in your toolkit right now?
