Detoxing Is A Journey... Here's What I'm Learning Along The Way

Somewhere along the way, we forgot.
Our food stopped looking like food.
Our medicine left the gardens and moved into sterile labs.
We were told to distrust our instincts, to override the soft whispers of our bodies.
Walking the path of plant medicine is a return to the old ways.
It’s a remembering. It’s a homecoming—to our bodies, to the Earth, and to ourselves.
But without elders to guide us, many of us are gathering pieces where we find them, rebuilding our connection to intuition one imperfect step at a time. We are learning to listen again, even when it feels like learning a language we once knew by heart.
And it makes complete sense that along the way, we will sometimes have only partial truths. Sometimes what we’ve learned won’t be enough—and that's okay.
Detox.
It’s a word we've all heard, but like so many others, its meaning has been twisted over the years.
We were taught that detox meant giving up sugar or carbs.(PSA: Carbs are not your enemy!)
Later, we heard about yeast and candida cleanses.
Then, post-2020, parasite cleanses became the buzz—spreading fast, often without the full understanding behind them.
But the old ways were simpler: Herbs like cloves, garlic, and turmeric lived in everyday meals. They protected us before we even knew we needed protecting. No "cleanse," no panic—just living in harmony with the Earth.
When the conversation about parasite cleansing began, some jumped in headfirst. Others, like me, paused and asked deeper questions— especially about detoxing with genetic mutations like MTHFR. I went down the path of opening detox pathways first (NAC, glutathione, bitters).
And I want to say clearly: Wherever you started, however you started—it matters. Trying to reconnect with your body is always a good thing.
But as I walk deeper into plant medicine, I'm realizing how many critical pieces have been missing.
Every time I tried detoxing—even after opening my detox pathways—I didn’t see the results I expected. And it always, always, stressed my liver. (For those who don't know, I don’t have a gallbladder, which definitely complicates things.)
For a long time, I just assumed MTHFR meant I would always struggle to detox. Until recently.
I wasn’t chasing detox anymore. I was simply listening to where my body needed support—especially in the places that felt heavy, puffy, or stuck. And from that space, Circulate & Vibrate was born.
I began applying it daily to my major lymphatic sites. Layered it with castor oil packs. Listened when my body whispered where it needed extra help.
And quietly, without warning...the dam broke.
This week, after years of frustration, my body moved something through. Not just "detox symptoms."
Something tangible.
Something real.
A physical release: what looked like a parasite egg sac in my stool.
Here’s what I now know in my bones:
If your lymph is congested, you can have the clearest detox pathways in the world—and it still won't matter.
Movement needs freedom.
Freedom needs flow.
Flow needs the old ways.
It’s not about walking more, drinking more water, or doing the “right” checklist.
It’s about listening.
Touching the body.
Unblocking what’s been quietly dammed up for years.
When you do that? The body knows exactly what to do.
Circulate & Vibrate will be available just in time for the Solstice. It’s not just a blend—it’s the map I wish I had years ago. A creation born from plant wisdom, persistence, and love.
If your soul is tugging at you right now, make sure you’re subscribed to CelestialRootsCo.com to stay connected when it launches.
Wherever you are on your healing journey, know this:
You are not behind.
You are not broken.
You are remembering.
And I am walking it with you.
