Listening In: Holding The Container

Before my son was born, I was a ceramic teacher running workshops at a local ceramic studio. I absolutely loved teaching. Up until getting pregnant, I was actually on the hunt for retail space to turn into my own ceramic studio.

I really believed that was the life path unfolding for me.

Getting pregnant with my son was such a clear pivot.

I couldn’t imagine not being home with both of my kids, and that wasn’t going to be possible if I owned a studio that demanded my time.

Life has such a beautiful way of unfolding exactly as it is meant to.

What began as a simple desire to travel prepared with plant medicines quietly unfolded into this beautiful business.

This journey has accelerated my healing and growth in ways I never expected. I’ve been able to support so many others, and I’ve found pieces of my love for teaching woven through my blogs, my posts, and my interactions at vendor events.

But I didn’t realize how much I missed facilitating groups.

And I certainly didn’t expect the level of honor and awe I would feel holding a space this sacred.

On Sunday, I led a workshop called

Listening In: A Somatic Tea Blending Experience.

We grounded in.

We sat in a meditative ceremony state with our cups of Soften.

We listened as the body spoke.

We learned about herbs.

And then we blended personal teas reflective of what the body was communicating.

Holding this container and walking this group through the raw stillness of communicating with their bodies was profoundly moving.

There were tears.

There was gratitude.

There was presence.

My gratitude for being able to facilitate this space feels unparalleled.

One of the most beautiful parts of the experience was doing it in collaboration with Luma Integrative Massage & Bodywork.

I went to Courtney for a massage after very clearly telling the universe I needed someone who understood nervous systems and somatic resonance—someone who could truly meet my body.

Not only did I receive one of the most beautiful massages that made my system feel deeply safe, I also formed a connection that has now evolved into this sacred offering.

When Courtney asked if I wanted to collaborate on a workshop, the ideas came flooding in.

I didn’t realize how much I had missed teaching.

This workshop gave that back to me—and allowed me to offer something even deeper.

I am still sitting in awe and gratitude.

We will be offering this workshop again, along with others designed to help you reconnect, listen, and communicate with your body.

There is something incredibly powerful about shaping these experiences around tea.

When we slow down enough to ask the body what it needs—and then respond with nourishment—we begin to build safety from the inside out.

Thank you for witnessing this journey. For resonating with me and the layers I’m learning and teaching. If your body is already curious about the next gathering, stay close.

The next container is already forming.

P.S. If you’re craving a way to create this kind of listening space at home, Soften was the tea we used during the ceremony. It’s a beautiful companion for slowing down and reconnecting when the world feels loud.
